How Helm prices an account
Every business that moves money across borders does it differently. An exporter paid by ten US buyers a month needs something different from an importer paying factories in three currencies. Helm looks at how your money moves and puts your pricing in writing before the account opens.
- One written proposal, agreed before you sign.
- The amount, rate and arrival time shown on screen before every payment.
- Buyers pay your account details like a local supplier, with no intermediary banks taking a cut on the way.
- Changes only with notice under your agreement.
Questions and answers.
Why does Helm not publish a fee table?
Helm prices each account around how the business actually moves money: the currencies, the rails, the size of payments and the monthly volume. A single table would overcharge some clients and mislead others, so your account manager sets out your pricing in writing before the account opens.
When do I see what I will pay?
Before you sign. Your pricing is agreed in writing before the account opens, and every payment shows the amount, the exchange rate and the expected arrival on screen before you approve it.
Can my pricing change?
Only with notice under your account agreement. Pricing is reviewed with your account manager as your volume grows.
Do intermediary banks take a cut?
Not on payments your buyers send to your Helm account details. A US buyer pays your routing and account number like a local supplier, with no intermediary banks between them and you. On international wires, banks along the route may deduct their own charges, which is why Helm steers buyers to local rails where they exist.
Is there a monthly fee or minimum balance?
Helm sets out the full picture for your business, including any account fee, in one written proposal before the account opens.
