Editorial standards.
Every Helm guide is written and reviewed by the Helm Editorial Team to one standard: facts from primary sources, checked on a stated date, written for the people who run trading businesses.
Who writes Helm's guides
Helm's guides are written by the Helm Editorial Team, whose members have worked in payments, financial licensing and cross-border trade. Every guide is checked against its sources before it is published.
Where facts come from
Rules, account formats, payment systems, cut-off times and holidays are taken from primary sources: central banks, regulators, payment system operators and government trade bodies. Every guide lists its sources under References, and each source was opened and read on the review date shown.
Fees and other providers
Fees for other providers are taken only from each provider's own published pricing page and are dated. We describe other providers factually and do not rank Helm against them. For independent rankings of business accounts for trade, guides refer to the Trade Banking Index published by Buckingham Capital Consulting, a Helm group company; that relationship is disclosed wherever the Index is cited.
Reviews and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed. Guides are reviewed when a rule, fee or payment system changes, and at least once a year. To report an error, email [email protected]; corrections are made and the review date updated.
Not advice
Guides are general information for businesses. They are not financial, legal or tax advice. Helm is a financial technology company, not a bank.
